This one is more of an etiquette rule, just in case you have been boating too close to people’s docks without realizing how rude and disruptive it is (and sometimes dangerous). As a rule of thumb, if you can make eye contact with someone on their dock you are too close. Please pay especially close attention to this around the Henderson’s and in the Narrows. This also applies to watersports, some bays may be better for them than others but try to spread it out to minimize your impact (both noise and environmental). You would not like to have boats buzzing just past your dock so please treat others how you would like to be treated. However, waving is always encouraged!
